Chicago never advanced beyond Green Bay's 35-yard line and the Packers finished with five interceptions. Grange, who ran on nearly every other play of the game, was stopped cold at the line of scrimmage or after a small gain. The Bears were held to 55 yards rushing, 75 passing. Green Bay racked up 126 yards on the ground and 113 through the air. Eddie Kotal, Carl (Cully) Lidberg and Verne Lewellen led the way for the Packers. Kotal caught two passes for touchdowns; Lidberg led the rushing attack and ran for one touchdown while intercepting two passes; and Lewellen rushed for the other touchdown in the rout.
The spirited crowd was in an uproar throughout the game. When Dunn completed a 17-yard pass to McNally for the game's first touchdown in the second period, Green Bay's cheering section of about 3,000 fans, led by the Lumber Jack Band, went wild. Before scoring, McNally had to wrestle the ball away from Harold (Red) Grange, who tackled McNally in the end zone. Verne Lewellen caught one of Joseph Dunn's 2 touchdown passes. Chicago came back to tie the game at 6-6 when Edward Sternaman highlighted a 53-yard drive by racing around the left end for a 33-yard touchdown.
